Performed by trained technicians or doctors using visual and descriptive scales to assess skin or make-up parameters, ranging from crow’s feet wrinkles to lipstick longevity.

Chromameter

A device used to measure skin color, helpful in assessing conditions such as redness, pigmentation, and overall skin tone.

Mexameter

Evaluates two key components of skin pigmentation: melanin and hemoglobin (erythema).

NEW Visia CR

An advanced imaging system capturing high-quality, standardized facial images for comprehensive skin analysis. It utilizes multiple lighting modalities, including standard, cross-polarized, and UV lighting, to assess both surface and subsurface skin conditions.

Clinical scoring table

A tool used during clinical grading to standardize the evaluation process, ensuring even lighting and reproducible positions for both the subject and grader.

Sebumeter

Measures the amount of sebum (oil) produced by the sebaceous glands on the skin’s surface.

Mark Vu

Corneometer

Measures the hydration levels of the skin's surface layers.

Consumer Tests

Cutometer

Measures the elasticity and firmness of the skin using a suction method, drawing a small section of the skin into the device’s probe by negative pressure.
